- (לִסְטֵם,) לִסְטֵס, (denom. of לִיסְטֵיס) to attack, as a freebooter, to commit robbery. Ex. R. s. 1, beg. היה מְלַסְטֵס את הבריות attacked and robbed the people. Snh.72a יוצא לפרשת דרכים ומְלַסְטֵםוכ׳ he will go out to the cross-roads and rob ; Yalk. Deut. 930.
